Planting along the riverside features around 60 troughs from the Higher Ferry to Bayards Cove which provides a lovely floral walk. There are  four large hexagonal  planters and three three tier planters, recycled from the Millenium Park and the Mall in London.

Our planters are sponsored by individual and organisations. We are very grateful for their support. Our volunteers plant seasonal displays so there is always something to enjoy. Plants vary according to the conditions, some being more exposed than others to salt laden winds off the river.

The floral boat at the Higher Ferry, replaced in 2019, starts the riverside walk with varied displays through the year. It continues with troughs  and planters all the way to the Lower Ferry.

At the corner of Coronation Park on cleared  unused land we have  created beds with a variety of sustainable planting and trees.

Some of the old cordylines in the raised beds along the South Embankment were removed by SHDC. We have replanted them with permanent displays.
